ABC Listening Texts with Audio

The Australian ABC website has recently come alive with brilliant content for language learning and general interest.  Several programs have downloadable audio and transcripts. Click here for more (combined listening and reading).

English Language Listening Lab Online (elllo)

This online ESL contains an interview with an Australian - Michael (not me) who is overseas and being interviewed about his country.

The MP3 files on this site can be downloaded for offline listening - a great advantage for lesson planning and delivery.

For example you can play the audio file for the above exercise by left-clicking it with your mouse.  But if you right-click on it then you may download and save it permanently to your local disk, or USB key or whatever.  The audio link is below.

The home page for elllo is http://www.elllo.org and contains a very good range of listening exercises.
